Six years after joining HBPW, graduate engineer Tadziwa ‘Tadz’ Stevens, has achieved Chartered Engineer status.
Tadz, who joined the company in 2015, went to Bath University, graduating with an MEng in Civil & Structural Engineering.
He said: “Becoming a Chartered Engineer is no mean feat and requires a lot of work and commitment, however, the final outcome is well worth the journey.
“Candidates must demonstrate not only a professional attitude in their quest to become Chartered, but also evidence the necessary expertise. While the process can, at times, be both gruelling and stressful, the ‘journey’ to eventual success is vital considering that an engineer’s work can make the difference between life and death.
“Six hard but rewarding years although I am quite happy to put the academics behind me for a while at least!”
Tadz, who is a keen long-distance runner, volunteered for a year assisting disabled individuals including young autistic children before embarking on his engineering career.’
