Jonathan Bent may only have been with the firm for just under a year, but he is already performing a very special dual role….that of trainee CAD technician and HBPW policeman!
That’s because Jonathan,20, who hails from Rotherham, plays a key part in helping maintain Quality Assurance standards within the company.
“One of my roles is to ensure that everyone adheres to agreed standards, and I work alongside other key personnel to ensure that individuals continually observe protocols designed to maintain and improve the quality of work within the firm,” he said.
However, when he is not keeping his watchful eye on QA, Jonathan is also a talented CAD technician and has worked on a variety of jobs including Network Rail’s East Midlands Package 1 Level Crossing Replacement Scheme.
“HBPW was asked to design two new footbridge schemes at Allsopp’s Lane, Loughborough and near Station Road at Ampthill in Bedfordshire. Working alongside design engineer, James Cable, I detailed up the design of the Ampthill Bridge part of the job.
“Work at HBPW is so incredibly varied and, within a short time, I have learned so much and become so skilled on CAD, largely thanks to excellent training and a string of leading professional colleagues. There isn’t time to become bored in this busy firm!”
