New Partner Announcements
1/04/2024 - posted in UncategorisedLess than a month after opening its new Sheffield satellite office, HBPW has reinforced its commitment to the practice’s UK expansion drive with the appointment of four new partners.
Long-standing employees Ross Hardy, James Cable, Tom Flint and Nick Chia move into the top posts, strengthening the firm’s management team.
Partner, Emyr Parry, said: “HBPW has been a solid presence on the UK engineering scene for more than two decades and we have grown steadily year on year, never wavering, even during the challenging pandemic years when we remained as busy as ever on some of the country’s premier civil engineering projects.
“Our new Sheffield satellite office opened last month and, whilst it is vital that we recognise the amazing work our new Partners have delivered over the years, it is equally important that we position ourselves for the next phase of growth, an element of which is strong leadership.”
Fellow Partner, Paul Monaghan, added: “That is why we have chosen this moment to not only recognise the sterling work that our four new Partners have done over the years, but to also ensure that HBPW maintains its tradition of high-quality management. I personally know that we now probably have one of the strongest management and engineering delivery teams in the UK.”
James Cable will split his time between South Yorkshire and the Retford head office in Nottinghamshire, supporting fellow partner, Martin Todd, in Sheffield along with Dominik Spirydowicz and Dimitrios Tsiritakis who have also re-located north.
James joined HBPW in 2010, Nick Chia in 2015 Ross Hardy in 2010 and Tom Flint in 2018, their collective record representing nearly half a century’s commitment to the company.
“The second there is more than one centre of operation,” added Paul Monaghan, “is the point at which internal communication has to be better than ever before. It is also when successful companies invest in their top line management teams, in our case gearing up to the needs of an expanding consultancy in which recruitment remains at the top of the agenda.”
Chartered Geotechnical Engineer and Geologist, Alana Millard, along with Chartered Engineer Mark Partridge, are promoted to Associate.
First established in Retford, Nottinghamshire in 2001, HBPW now employs 35 staff, including 20 engineers, in addition to sub-contractors.
The company’s engineering prowess can be seen on projects as diverse as the re-development of Dundee waterfront and the huge Immingham Renewals Fuel Terminal (IRFT).
The newly expanded team joins existing Partners Tommy Ng, Martin Todd, Jon Livesey, Helen Haynes, Chris Clarke, Paul Monaghan and Emyr Parry.
