HBPW’s expertise in rail engineering has had top level recognition for the fifth year running after auditors again gave the company a 100% clean bill of health.
Link Up, which is certified by the Achilles organisation, allows HBPW to carry out design consultancy work in the rail environment.
Every year the company has to be inspected because of strict rules surrounding firms engaged in this aspect of engineering.
Associate Paul Jacklin, said: “Whether we are working as a sub contractor or directly with end clients, the likes of Network Rail and London Underground require firms to be Link approved in order to work on their infrastructure.”
The qualification scheme also enables HBPW to issue personal track safety certificates to its own staff, allowing them to work trackside on things like bridge and embankment schemes.
“HBPW is one of just a handful of firms entrusted to carry out such work, and the fact that we have been given blemish free renewal of our annual certificate proves, yet again, that we remain in pole position when it comes to specialist rail engineering projects of this type.”
