As one of the UK’s leading firms of rail engineers, HBPW, has been given a clean bill of health by auditors behind the prestigious Link Up Qualification Scheme.
Link Up, which is certified by the Achilles organisation, allows HBPW to carry out design consultancy work in the rail environment.
“Both Network Rail and London Underground insist on people being Link approved to work on their infrastructure. Indeed, when we are working for contractor clients, the certification is still required because they have to prove they are using an approved sub contractor,” said HBPW Associate, Paul Jacklin.
The qualification scheme also enables HBPW to issue personal track safety certificates to its own staff, allowing them to work trackside on things like bridge and embankment schemes.
“This is the fourth year in a row that we have been given blemish free renewal of our annual certificate proving, again, that we are among a handful of firms entrusted to carry out such high level work in at times, challenging circumstances,” added Paul. “As the internal administrator of Link, I am personally delighted with this success.”
