Associated British Ports were given the thumbs up by Associate Paul Jacklin after he carried out his latest inspection of their 37 bridge and culvert structures across Humberside.
Nearly three years ago HBPW won the contract to carry out annual inspections of ABP’s bridge assets at the Ports of Grimsby, Immingham, Hull and Goole.
And that has involved Paul visiting each of the steel, brick, concrete and wooden structures to ensure that they had not fallen victim to major deterioration as a result of weather, general use or spalling when brick and concrete surfaces fall away.
Fortunately ABP has worked hard to repair problems identified by HBPW since March 2010, meaning Paul was able to give the 37 structures a clean bill of health this time round.
